1. A system comprising:
a plurality of direct-current/direct-current (DC/DC) power converters, wherein each DC/DC power converter of the plurality of DC/DC power converters comprises converter inputs and converter outputs, and wherein each DC/DC power converter of the plurality of DC/DC power converters is configured to adjust a voltage across the converter outputs according to an input power received at the converter inputs, and wherein the converter outputs of the plurality of DC/DC power converters are coupled together in series thereby forming a serial string;
a controller comprising an external sensor interface configured to receive data from an external sensor; and
an inverter comprising an inverter input and an overvoltage protection circuit, wherein the inverter input is connected across the serial string, and wherein the overvoltage protection circuit is configured to regulate voltage across the serial string.
