17. A radar system comprising an antenna system having:
a circuit board including an exposed area of a conductive layer that is configured as:
an electrical interface configured to send or receive electromagnetic signals based on energy guided through a waveguide channel formed atop the exposed area to configure the exposed area to be a channel floor; and
a mechanical interface configured to prevent separation or lateral movement at the electrical interface between the channel floor and a channel ceiling and channel walls formed atop the channel floor; and
a single piece of conductive material shaped to form the channel ceiling and the channel walls that are coupled to the electrical interface to complete the waveguide channel and the mechanical interface from being arranged atop the exposed area of the circuit board.
