1. A rotating cylinder electrochemical cell for a hydrodynamic system operating at high pressure and high temperature comprising:
an electrochemical cell enclosure that includes a bottom and a top, wherein the top is removably mountable to the bottom;
a rotating cylinder mounted on the top and configured to receive a rotating working electrode;
a first electrode port on the top that is configured to receive a reference electrode;
a second electrode port on the top that is configured to receive an auxiliary electrode; and
at least one cylindrical container, wherein the at least one cylindrical container is configured to be mounted in the electrochemical cell enclosure, and wherein the electrochemical cell enclosure is configured to receive cylindrical containers having different interior diameters that generate different hydrodynamic flow conditions.
