1. A syringe stabilizing apparatus comprising:
a base; and
a syringe support disposed above the base, the syringe support being configured to allow a plunger of a syringe to be operated by a first hand of a user, and being configured to orient the syringe at an angle relative to the base, the syringe support comprising:
a retainer having a retainer opening configured to removably receive and retain a tubing of an infusion set, wherein the retainer is a longitudinal slot in the syringe support;
a transverse slot intersecting the longitudinal slot; and
a selectively actuated tube clamp movable within the retainer opening between a closed condition and an open condition, wherein the selectively actuated tube clamp resides within and is slidable within the transverse slot;
wherein in the closed condition, the selectively actuated tube clamp is configured to pinch the tubing of the infusion set closed to restrict flow of fluid from the syringe to the user, and in the open condition, the selectively actuated tube clamp is configured to allow flow of fluid through the tubing, wherein the selectively actuated tube clamp comprises a tube receiver having a tube receiver opening and a clamping section, wherein the tube receiver is configured to receive the tubing through the tube receiver opening, and wherein the clamping section includes a cross-sectional area configured for pinching the tubing of the infusion set as the selectively actuated tube clamp is slid within the transverse slot in a direction transverse to the longitudinal slot.
