1. A method comprising:
determining, by a user device, a first set of one or more attributes of a first access point;
wherein the first set of one or more attributes includes at least one of network statistics or network configuration information associated with a first network corresponding to the first access point;
identifying, by the user device, a second access point;
determining, by the user device, a second set of one or more attributes of the second access point;
wherein the second set of one or more attributes includes at least one of network statistics or network configuration information associated with a second network corresponding to the second access point;
determining, by the user device, that a first attribute of the first set of one or more attributes differs from a second attribute of the second set of one or more attributes;
responsive at least to determining that the first attribute of the first set of one or more attributes differs from the second attribute of the second set of one or more attributes: determining, by the user device, that the first access point is a suspicious access point; and
responsive to determining that the first access point is a suspicious access point: refraining, by the user device, from connecting to the first access point.
