1. A method, comprising:
creating, in a first node cluster, a first data object representing a data entity;
creating, in a second node cluster and after creating the first data object, a second data object representing the data entity, wherein a data object group comprises a first reference to the first data object and a second reference to the second data object;
designating, based at least in part on creating the second data object, the second data object as an overall active member of the data object group; and
assigning, to the overall active member, a task for a failover operation, a task for a source cluster refresh operation, a task for an instant recovery operation associated with the data entity, or any combination thereof.
