1. A method for improving an optical image provided by a lens system as used with a camera comprising passing a compressed optical image produced by at least one anamorphic element of the lens system to at least one corrective lens element, wherein the at least one corrective element is configured to improve an optical quality of the compressed optical image on a digital image sensor of the camera.
