1. An LED lighting device or LED lamp comprising: two or more sets of LED packages, wherein each of the two or more sets of LED packages comprises at least one respective LED package, the two or more sets of LED packages comprising a first set of LED packages and a second set of LED packages; wherein the two or more sets of LED packages are mounted in a concentric pattern with respect to a housing: a first optical element having a light incident surface optically coupled to the first set of LED packages to control light dispersion of light emitted by the first set of LED packages; and a second optical element having a light incident surface optically coupled to the second set of LED packages to control light dispersion of light emitted by the second set of LED packages, wherein the first optical element and the second optical element are configured to be arranged as concentric structures, such that the first optical element is configured as an outermost optical element, the second optical element is within the first optical element, and the first optical element is disposed, at least in part, on top and around the second optical element.
