1. A method for sequestering carbon dioxide while treating a zone in a wellbore, comprising:
obtaining a hydrogel;
mixing the hydrogel with an aqueous amine solution comprising an amine compound to form an amine infused hydrogel (AIH);
exposing the AIH to a gas comprising carbon dioxide in a vessel before treating the zone in the wellbore until the AIH has reached saturation with the carbon dioxide, wherein the amine compound in the AIH absorbs the carbon dioxide, forming a well treatment composition comprising the AIH and absorbed carbon dioxide, and wherein the saturation of the AIH with the carbon dioxide is determined by measuring a pressure of the vessel; and
pumping the well treatment composition into a wellbore comprising a treatment zone, wherein the well treatment composition plugs the treatment zone.
