1. A rainwater conveyance system for managing water flowing through a conveyance line, where the conveyance line defines a first conveyance line portion connected to a source of water, a second conveyance line portion connected to the first conveyance line portion, and a third conveyance line portion connected to the second conveyance line portion and a destination inlet, where at least portion of the first conveyance line portion is located above ground, the second conveyance line portion is located underground and adjacent to a percolation region in the ground, and at least a portion of the third conveyance line portion is located above ground, where a standing portion of collected water flowing into the conveyance line from the source of water is arranged within the first conveyance line portion and the third conveyance line portion, the rainwater conveyance system comprising:
a drain emitter comprising
an emitter housing defining an emitter inlet and an emitter outlet, and
at least one flow control member, where the at least one flow control member and the emitter housing cooperate to define an emitter opening through which the drained portion of the collected water flows out of the drain emitter; wherein
the emitter inlet is connected to the second conveyance line portion such that
at least a first portion of the standing portion of the collected water flows into the drain emitter, and
the first portion of the standing portion of the collected water flows through the emitter outlet at a preset emitter flow rate;
the drain emitter is arranged such that the drained portion flows to the percolation region;
the preset emitter flow rate is predetermined such that
a second portion of the standing portion of the collected water flows to the destination inlet; and
the drained portion of the collected water
flows out of the conveyance line through the drain emitter to drain the standing portion of the collected water from the conveyance line, and
percolates through the percolation region; and
the flow control member is displaced relative to the emitter housing to set the preset emitter flow rate.
