1. A system, comprising:
a control subsystem, external to an autonomous vehicle, comprising a processor configured to:
receive landing pad sensor data from one or more landing pad sensors, wherein the one or more landing pad sensors is located in or around each landing pad of a plurality of landing pads, each landing pad sensor is configured to observe at least a portion of the landing pad;
receive, from the autonomous vehicle traveling to a terminal, a request for an assigned landing pad of the plurality of landing pads in which the autonomous vehicle should be positioned;
in response to receiving the request for the assigned landing pad:
determine, based at least in part upon the received landing pad sensor data, that a first landing pad is free of obstructions that would prevent receipt of the autonomous vehicle;
in response to determining that the first landing pad is free of obstructions that would prevent receipt of the first autonomous vehicle, provide an indication to the autonomous vehicle that the first landing pad is the assigned landing pad, wherein the indication is configured to cause the autonomous vehicle to, in response to the indication, maneuver onto the assigned landing pad.
