1. A method of determining the wear of a tire, the method comprising, using a computing device operating a processor:
obtaining, in real time, during a ride of a vehicle, signals from sensors of the vehicle, the sensors comprising a wheel speed sensor, a pressure sensor and a torque sensor;
based on the signals, determining, in real time, during the ride of the vehicle, a plurality of tire parameters of a tire, the tire parameters comprising a load acting on the tire, a rotational speed of the tire and a pressure within the tire;
based on at least a portion of the tire parameters, determining, in real time, during the ride of the vehicle, a normalized rolling radius of the tire, the normalized rolling radius being an effective rolling radius of the tire under a zero rotational speed, a zero load or both;
based on a change in the normalized rolling radius of the tire over a period of time, determining, in real time, during the ride of the vehicle, an average wear value of the tire; and
transmitting, in real time, during the ride of the vehicle, the average wear value to at least one of a braking unit, a motor, a steering unit and a suspension unit of the vehicle for adapting operation of the at least one of the braking unit, the motor, the steering unit and the suspension unit according to the average wear value of the tire.
