1. A system, comprising:
a memory that stores computer executable components; and
a processor that executes at least one of the computer executable components that:
generates, via respective sensors of battery cells of a battery pack of an electric vehicle (EV), respective operational data for the battery cells;
predicts, based on the respective operational data, respective predicted rates of degradation of the battery cells;
based on the respective rates of degradation of the battery cells:
identifies a first subset of the battery cells that have respective rates of degradation that exceed a threshold rate of degradation, and
identifies a second subset of the battery cells that have respective rates of degradation that do not exceed the threshold rate of degradation;
employs the first subset of the battery cells to provision power to the EV; and
prevents the second subset of the battery cells from provisioning power to the EV.
