19 Claims

1. A platelet filtration membrane, comprising a layer that is coated on surfaces of a porous substrate, wherein the layer comprises at least a first copolymer comprising a plurality of amide groups and a second copolymer comprising a plurality of carboxylic acid groups, and wherein the porous substrate comprises poly(ethylene), poly(propylene), poly(styrene), polyethylene terephthalate, polytetrafluoroethylene, polyvinylidene fluoride, ceramic or rayon.
