1. A power injectable venous access port assembly, the assembly comprising:
a housing base having a bottom wall;
a needle penetrable septum sealed against the housing base;
a reservoir formed between the housing base and the septum;
a reservoir lining deposited within the reservoir, wherein the reservoir lining covers at least a portion of the bottom wall, and the reservoir lining comprising a needle impenetrable radiopaque material;
a discharge port extending from the housing, the discharge port comprising a discharge stem forming a fluid passageway between the reservoir and the discharge port; and
an X-ray discernable indicium cut in at least a part of the reservoir lining, wherein the cuts are of a width less than a diameter of a needle used to access the port assembly.
