1. A method for wireless communications, by an access point (AP) having a limited amount of flash memory storing instructions, the method comprising:
executing the instructions, stored in the flash memory, to download a system image from a network entity, other than the AP, via a wireless network connection; and
providing wireless local area network (WLAN) AP services using the downloaded system image, wherein the AP has less than 1 megabyte (MB) of total flash memory.
