1. An apparatus comprising:
a communication interface;
computer readable instructions; and
at least one processor to utilize the computer readable instructions to:
query stored data based on a decoded watermark to retrieve tuning data to tune a receiver to a broadcast signal;
cause a receiver to tune to the broadcast signal based on the tuning data;
decode media identification data from the tuned broadcast signal, the media identification data separate from watermark data encoded in the tuned broadcast signal; and
identify media associated with the decoded watermark based on the media identification data decoded from the tuned broadcast signal.
