1. A method comprising:
receiving, by at least one data processor, from a plurality of magnetic field receivers comprising magnetic sensors, data characterizing samples obtained by the plurality of magnetic field receivers, the samples based on a combination of a first magnetic field and a second magnetic field resulting from interaction of the first magnetic field and an object;
determining, by the at least one data processor, a distortion component of the samples obtained by the plurality of magnetic field receivers;
determining, by the at least one data processor, motion compensated samples by at least removing, from the samples obtained by the plurality of magnetic field receivers, the distortion component;
classifying, by the at least one data processor, using the motion compensated samples, the object as a threat or a non-threat; and
providing the classification.
