1. A computer system comprising:
a storage system configured to provide a plurality of instances in any one of a plurality of predetermined subzones defined by risk boundaries; and
a processor configured to implement a plurality of spread placement groups (SPGs), each SPG having a plurality of respective instances,
wherein each of the plurality of instances in each SPG are arranged in different respective subzones,
wherein the plurality of instances implement a function of a redundant storage controller that controls input/output (I/O) processing for a volume based on a capacity pool provided by a plurality of storage devices redundant to the plurality of instances provided in different subzones in the SPGs,
wherein data is redundantly stored in the plurality of storage devices of the volume by the plurality of instances implementing the redundant storage controller function,
wherein a plurality of instances in different SPGs are arranged in a same subzone, and
wherein a redundancy degree of the redundancy storage controller function is a redundancy degree n, which is a redundancy degree that withstands a failure occurring in n subzones and each respective redundancy storage controller function implements the n number of SPGs.
