1. A method for producing ammonia product having a carbon intensity less than about 0.5 kg CO2e/kg NH3, comprising:
converting a hydrocarbon feedstock to a hydrogen intermediate product using a hydrogen production process;
converting the hydrogen intermediate product to an ammonia product using an ammonia synthesis process;
providing at least some of the required energy for the hydrogen production process and the ammonia synthesis process from a biomass power plant comprising the direct combustion of a biomass feedstock; and
processing one or more gas streams containing carbon dioxide from the biomass power plant and the hydrogen production process in one or more carbon capture units to reduce CO2e emissions;
wherein the ammonia product has a carbon intensity less than about 0.5 kg CO2e/kg NH3.
