1. A method of forming bio-diesel comprising:
emulsifying a mixture comprising alcohol and a source of fatty acids;
pressurizing and heating said emulsion until said alcohol is super-critical;
pumping said emulsion through a vessel under substantially non-laminar flow;
monitoring the density of said emulsion;
maintaining said substantially non-laminar flow of said emulsion and said super-criticality of said alcohol in said emulsion until the density of said emulsion has fallen by about one pound per cubic foot.
