1. An operating room cable assembly for an electrical stimulation system, the operating room cable assembly comprising:
a lead connector comprising
a housing having a first opening comprising a lead lumen housing defining a lead lumen extending within the housing from the first opening and configured to receive a portion of a lead or lead extension,
a button comprising a first portion having a surface exposed for engagement by a user and a second portion attached to the first portion and disposed within the housing, wherein at least a portion of the lead lumen housing is disposed between the first portion and the second portion of the button, and
a contact assembly coupled to the second portion of the button and disposed within the housing, wherein the button and contact assembly are configured for manual movement, relative to the housing, between a lock position and a load position and are biased to return to the lock position, wherein the contact assembly comprises a plurality of contacts that are configured to engage a portion of a lead or lead extension within the lead lumen in the lock position and to disengage from the portion of the lead or lead extension within the lead lumen when the contact assembly is moved from the lock position to the load position.
