1. A display device comprising:
a display area in which a plurality of sub-pixels are arranged;
a plurality of pad electrodes in a peripheral area outside the display area;
a first organic insulating layer having an opening that overlaps the plurality of pad electrodes;
an integrated circuit overlapping the plurality of pad electrodes and electrically connected to the plurality of pad electrodes, wherein an edge of the first organic insulating layer defining the opening is spaced apart from an edge of the integrated circuit by a first distance;
a second organic insulating layer on an upper surface of the first organic insulating layer, wherein the second organic insulating layer overlaps a lateral surface of the first organic insulating layer including the edge of the first organic insulating layer and extends onto a lower insulation layer under the first organic insulating layer beyond the edge of the first organic insulating layer;
a plurality of data lines passing through the display area; and
a plurality of connection lines electrically connecting the plurality of data lines to the plurality of pad electrodes.
