1. A user equipment (UE) for wireless communication, comprising:
one or more memories; and
one or more processors, coupled to the one or more memories, configured to:
determine a new beam ready time that indicates a time at which a beam is to be ready for use in communicating with a base station,
wherein the new beam ready time is determined based at least in part on a combination of a plurality of parameters that include a time frame that depends on a numerology of a component carrier associated with the beam, and
wherein the beam is activated by a beam activation command received by the UE; and
communicate with the base station using the beam after the new beam ready time.
