1. A method comprising:
establishing, with a base station, a first component carrier having a first frequency band;
establishing, with the base station, a second component carrier having a second frequency band that overlaps the first frequency band;
transmitting, from the base station, first synchronization signal blocks in the first frequency band;
transmitting, from the base station, second synchronization signal blocks in the second frequency band and interleaved in time with the first synchronization signal blocks; and
transmitting system information blocks from the base station exclusively on frequencies corresponding to an overlap between the first and second frequency bands.
