1. A method for providing assistance to an emergency service provider by an emergency response data platform (ERDP), the method comprising:
(a) establishing a communication link with an emergency service provider (ESP) through an emergency response application executed on a computing device associated with the ESP, wherein the emergency response application comprises a first graphical user interface (GUI) comprising a list of one or more emergency incidents;
(b) receiving, through the emergency response application, a secondary triage notification indicating that the ESP would like to initiate a low acuity response to an emergency incident selected from the list of one or more emergency incidents, wherein the secondary triage notification comprises an initial determination that the emergency incident represents a low acuity emergency that is non-emergent and does not require dispatching an ambulance or police unit; and
(c) responsive to receiving the secondary triage notification, transmitting emergency data associated with the emergency incident to a low acuity provider (LAP) for display within a second graphical user interface (GUI) of a low acuity response application accessed by a computing device associated with the LAP, wherein the low acuity response application displays an option for requesting escalation of the emergency incident back to the ESP.
