1. A communication system configured to support Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) using a plurality of cells, comprising:
a communication terminal device configured to report a measurement result of a downlink reference signal; and
at least one base station configured to wirelessly communicate with the communication terminal device,
wherein the base station includes a Centralized Unit (CU) and a Distributed Unit (DU) that configures at least one cell,
wherein the CU transmits, to the communication terminal device, configuration information on measurement of the downlink reference signal via the DU,
wherein the configuration information includes a first measurement configuration for a serving cell by which the communication terminal device is served, and a second measurement configuration for a surrounding cell, the first measurement configuration including a first offset power value for the serving cell, the second measurement configuration including a second offset power value for the surrounding cell,
wherein the communication terminal device measures the downlink reference signal from the serving cell using the first offset power value and measures the downlink reference signal from the surrounding cell using the second offset power value,
wherein the communication terminal device transmits the measurement result of the serving cell and the surrounding cell, according to the configuration information, and
wherein the DU transmits, to the CU, the measurement result reported from the communication terminal device.
