1. A method comprising:
receiving metrics that characterize one or more computing devices;
determining a value associated with a performance of the one or more computing devices based on the received metrics;
determining a first scheduling parameter based on the value, wherein the first scheduling parameter is associated with a first discovery process that is associated with at least a portion of the one or more computing devices; and
directing execution of the first discovery process according to the first scheduling parameter.
