1. A method of managing data transmission by a network, comprising the steps of:
selecting a client device from a plurality of client devices as a participating device by an active network manager residing on said network, each client device of the plurality of client devices being in data communication with said network including the active network manager;
transmitting data from the participating device by said network; and
suppressing by the active network manager data being communicated with said network by one or more client devices of the plurality of client devices other than the participating device only while said network is transmitting the data from the participating device, the active network manager thereby minimizing latency in transmitting the data from the participating device by said network.
