1. A power supply system comprising:
a first power supply module comprising a first fault input terminal, a first fault output terminal, and a first synchronization terminal;
a second power supply module comprising a second fault input terminal, a second fault output terminal, and a second synchronization terminal; and
a wire harness that connects the first power supply module and the second power supply module, the wire harness comprising a synchronization bus and a fault bus, wherein:
the synchronization bus is connected to the first synchronization terminal and the second synchronization terminal;
the fault bus connects the first fault output terminal to the second fault input terminal and the second fault output terminal to the first fault input terminal;
the first power supply module comprises circuitry configured to assert a first synchronization signal on the synchronization bus;
the second power supply module comprises circuitry configured to assert a second synchronization signal on the synchronization bus; and
the first power supply module comprises circuitry configured to identify a system level fault based on a signal received via the fault bus at the first fault input terminal.
