1. An inspection apparatus comprising:
processing circuitry configured to:
acquire read image data obtained by reading an image printed on both sides of a conveyance medium;
detect interest points included in given areas at four corners of each side of the conveyance medium, each of the given areas having a predetermined length from an edge of the conveyance medium;
determine the interest points as marks printed on both sides of the conveyance medium in the read image data in response to detection of the interest points in the given areas at all of the four corners of each side of the conveyance medium; and
output information indicating a misalignment amount of both sides of the conveyance medium based on positions where the marks are printed.
