1. A method comprising:
at a device including a display, an input device, a non-transitory memory, and one or more processors coupled with the display, the input device and the non-transitory memory:
displaying, on the display, a user interface that includes a first representation of a first content item spanning a first time duration and a second representation of a second content item spanning a second time duration;
obtaining, via the input device, a user input corresponding to a request to generate an intermediary emergent content item spanning over an intermediary time duration that is between an end of the first time duration and a beginning of the second time duration; and
displaying, on the display, a representation of the intermediary emergent content item that is generated after obtaining the user input, wherein the intermediary emergent content item includes a synthesized reality (SR) agent performing actions matching a first action performed by a first action-performing element towards the end of the first time duration and a second action performed by a second action performing element towards the beginning of the second time duration.
