1. A method, comprising:
determining a document is open;
identifying an idle time to pre-render at least a portion of the document prior to assertion of a print command therefor;
pre-rendering at least the portion of the document during the idle time thereof;
identifying the idle time responsive to opening of a print dialog;
identifying an opportunity for the idle time for the pre-render responsive to opening of printing preferences of the print dialog;
designating at least the portion having been pre-rendered by the pre-rendering thereof as one or more pre-rendered parts; and
caching the one or more pre-rendered parts.
