1. A system comprising:
a plurality of endpoint devices; and
a communication server, including a processing circuit, configured to use programming instructions, written in a first programming language and a second programming language, for providing data communications services over at least one broadband network for one or more remotely-situated client entities (“the client entities”) by routing data communications in a manner consistent with the programming instructions written in a first programming language, wherein each of the one or more remotely-situated client entities is associated with the plurality of endpoint devices, and the programming instructions written in the second programming language are received from or provided on behalf of one of the client entities and are to direct the communication server to adjust routing or processing of the data communications services for the one of the client entities.
