1. An assembly for coupling pipe segments, comprising:
a collar including a through-passage extending longitudinally from a first end to a second end, each end having an interior surface configured to engage with a pipe segment and an intermediate section located between the first and second ends and having a larger internal diameter than the central channel;
a ring configured to fit within the intermediate section,
wherein:
the ring is positionable to engage with the through-passage in a first position and disengage in a second position, the ring defining a central aperture; and
a connector configured to secure a pipe segment within the collar, wherein the connector at least partially extends through the central aperture of the ring to maintain its position within the intermediate section of the through-passage; and
wherein the collar, ring, and connector are collectively configured to enable torque transmission between coupled pipe segments.
