1. A prepreg construction comprising;
a fiber bed having a surface; and
a resin material disposed onto the surface, the resin material having one or more openings free of the resin material that that expose portions of the underlying fiber bed surface, wherein the resin material and one or more openings are configured to facilitate permeation of air through the exposed portions of the fiber bed surface in a direction perpendicular to a plane of the fiber bed during a curing process of the prepreg.
