1. A nanofiber catalyst comprising:
a transition metal oxide fibrous material comprising a plurality of pores, wherein:
the transition metal oxide fibrous material has metal oxide framework (MOF) morphology filled by transition metal oxide particles, the transition metal oxide fibrous material being a bimetallic or trimetallic transition metal oxide; and
the transition metal oxide particles are connected by interconnected metal oxide structure to form nanofibrous network;
wherein the catalyst has a specific surface area of 100-1000 m2/gram.
