1. An implant comprising:
a first endplate configured to engage a first bone, the first endplate comprising a proximal portion and a distal portion connected to the proximal portion by a pivot;
a second endplate configured to engage a second bone, the second endplate comprising a proximal portion and a distal portion connected to the proximal portion by a pivot;
a frame located at least partly between the upper endplate and the lower endplate, wherein the frame includes a carriage support channel on each side of the frame; and
wherein the first endplate is movable relative to the second endplate such that in a first position the first endplate and the second endplate are at a collapsed height and in a second position the first endplate and the second endplate are at an expanded height, and
wherein the proximal portions of the first endplate and the second endplate are configured to move axially when transitioning from the collapsed height to the expanded height and the distal portions of the first endplate and the second endplate are configured to pivot relative to the proximal portions when transitioning from the collapsed height to the expanded height such that a height of the implant increases at the proximal portions of the first endplate and the second endplate, but a height of the implant at a distal end of the distal portions of the first endplate and the second endplate remains constant.
