1. A toilet seat assembly comprising:
a toilet seat;
a plurality of hinges;
a hollow channel at a distal end of the toilet seat, the hollow channel configured to couple with the plurality of hinges at opposing recesses of the hollow channel;
a slot on the hollow channel between the opposing recesses; and
a locking component configured to be inserted into the slot of the hollow channel to contact a ridge body of at least one damper.
 
12. A toilet comprising:
a bowl;
a toilet seat;
a plurality of hinges to rotate the toilet seat with respect to the bowl;
a hollow channel at a distal end of the toilet seat, the hollow channel configured to couple with the plurality of hinges at opposing recesses of the hollow channel;
a slot on the hollow channel between the opposing recesses; and
a locking component configured to be inserted into the slot of the hollow channel to contact a ridge body of at least one damper.
 
21. A toilet seat assembly comprising:
a toilet seat;
a plurality of hinges;
a hollow channel at a distal end of the toilet seat, the hollow channel configured to couple with the plurality of hinges; and
a locking component configured to be inserted into the hollow channel, wherein the toilet seat is rotatably connected to the hinge around a rotation axis located at a height above a surface of the toilet allowing for deformation of the plurality of hinges when a load is applied to the toilet seat.
