1. A shoe sole comprising:
a first layer that is a one-piece member; and
a second layer having a forefoot part and a tarsal part,
the forefoot part of the second layer extending along the first layer such that the forefoot part of the second layer is coupled to the first layer,
the first layer including a space defined by a recess formed in the first layer, and
the tarsal part of the second layer being configured to be received in the space and displaceable relative to the first layer into the space in a state where the first layer is flexed.
