1. A system for incentivizing game-related actions related to a game by users of the game through virtual chance items that provide awards based on probabilities, wherein the users include a first user, the system comprising:
one or more processors configured by machine-readable instructions to:
monitor whether one or more specific actions have been completed by individual ones of the users, wherein the one or more specific actions include at least one of:
(i) signing into the game during an event,
(ii) purchasing and/or trading virtual goods,
(iii) purchasing and/or trading virtual currency,
(iv) playing mini-games within the game,
(v) building structures within the game,
(vi) training troops within the game,
(vii) collecting resources within the game,
(viii) establishing relationships with other users in the game,
(ix) attacking an enemy within the game,
(x) defending from attacks within the game, and/or
(xi) competing in a tournament within the game;
responsive to the first user completing a specific action from the one or more specific actions, distribute a first virtual chance item to a first inventory associated with the first user until activation of the first virtual chance item, wherein the first virtual chance item has a first probability to provide a primary award upon the activation and a second probability to provide a secondary award upon the activation, and wherein provision of the primary award is mutually exclusive with provision of the secondary award; and
responsive to the activation of the first virtual chance item, provide, in accordance with the first and second probabilities assigned to the first virtual chance item, either the primary award or the secondary award to the first user.
