1. A system comprising:
a lighting apparatus including a plurality of independently controllable light sources and at least one camera; and
a controller comprising:
a current sensing circuit operatively coupled to a plurality of light channels, each light channel of the plurality of light channels being operatively coupled to a different one of the plurality of independently controllable light sources, the current sensing circuit being configured to sense a current level on each light channel of the plurality of light channels at a dynamically specified current sensing resolution level;
a control unit;
a plurality of buck converters operatively coupled to the plurality of light channels, between the control unit and a corresponding independently controllable light source, each buck converter acting to step down voltage from the corresponding independently controllable light source prior to it being received by the control unit; and
a multiplexor designed to switch between a closed-loop mode and an open-loop mode for the current sensing circuit, wherein the closed-loop mode includes a feedback mechanism from a closed-loop controller to the current sensing circuit such that a pulse width modulation (PWM) frequency of a light channel is adjusted based on a set of variables, wherein the open-loop mode does not include the feedback mechanism.
