1. A method, performed by a wireless device served by an access node in a wireless network, the method comprising:
receiving from the serving access node, with a control channel message, a set of beams to measure comprising an identification of each beam to measure and determined time periods to perform the measurement;
measuring a reference signal received quality (RSRQ) for each of said beams;
selecting a subset of the measured beams having the highest measured quality; and
reporting the measured quality of each beam in the selected subset of beams to the serving access node.
