1. A method comprising:
assigning a first plurality of slices and a second plurality of slices to communicate on a bandwidth of a cell site, wherein the cell site operates at a first level of power consumption;
detecting a changed operating state at the cell site; and
assigning the first plurality of slices to communicate on a bandwidth part of the cell site in response to detecting the changed operating state,
wherein the bandwidth part is a subset of the bandwidth,
wherein the cell site operates at a second level of power consumption in response to assigning the first plurality of slices to communicate on the bandwidth part, and
wherein the second level of power consumption is less than the first level of power consumption.
