20 Claims

1. An apparatus comprising:

at least one memory; and

at least one processor coupled with the at least one memory and configured to cause the apparatus to:

receive, from a first node, a protocol data unit (PDU) session establishment request message indicating that a requested PDU session is for an initial delegated PDU session associated with a second node;

transmit, to a third node, a session management message comprising an identifier of the second node and an indication that the requested PDU session is for the initial delegated PDU session; and

transmit, to the first node, a PDU session resource setup request message for the initial delegated PDU session, wherein the initial delegated PDU session is established between the apparatus and the first node, and wherein the initial delegated PDU session is for data traffic associated with the second node.
