1. An access control method, comprising:
by a client device:
receiving, from a physical proximity interface of a token dispenser device, a token on a blockchain layer;
presenting, to a node of a local network, the token;
receiving, from the node, successful authentication of the token by way of proof of authority authentication,
wherein, after the successful authentication of the token, the client device is authorized to access a device on the local network,
wherein the device is a security monitoring device, a television, a lock, a light, a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) device, an appliance, a computer and/or a vehicle,
wherein the device is connected to a network switch which is configured to access the local network, wherein the network switch has power activated from a relay, the access control method further comprising the node activating the relay after the successful authentication of the token; and
performing, using a master device on the local network, the proof of authority authentication and generating, by the master device, an immutable log on the blockchain layer.
