1. A method for carrier aggregation, the method comprising:
receiving a signal with multiple non-contiguous carrier bands;
frequency converting the signal to a compressed single intermediate frequency band with a pseudonoise code applied to a local oscillation of each of the multiple non-contiguous carrier bands while maintaining separation of the multiple non-contiguous carrier bands;
analog to digital converting the compressed single intermediate frequency band to a combined digital signal; and
conducting digital signal processing of the combined digital signal to detect spectral power density and waveform characteristics across multiple channels over non-contiguous carrier bands and obtain data from each of the multiple non-contiguous carrier bands from the combined digital signal.
