1. A method comprising:
receiving equipment parameters of the PV power plant including PV parameters of one or more PV arrays and inverter parameters of one or more inverters; and
generating a prediction of the output of the PV power plant by:
generating a prediction of an output of the one or more PV arrays based on the PV parameters and environmental factors including solar irradiance and weather;
selecting, based on the inverter parameters and one or more of the environmental factors, a first inverter response curve from a first set of inverter response curves indicating inverter capacity derating versus voltage and a second inverter response curve from a second set of inverter response curves;
generating, using the first inverter response curve, the second inverter response curve, the one or more of the environmental factors, and the prediction of the output of the one or more PV arrays, a prediction of the output of the one or more inverters; and
automatically controlling one or more operational parameters of the PV power plant based on the generated prediction of the output of the PV power plant.
