1. A system comprising:
a transmitter comprising a clock source, the transmitter configured to modulate a control signal and a clock signal onto an RF signal using amplitude-shift keying modulation to generate a transmit signal;
a receiver, the receiver being free of a clock source; and
a transmission line coupling the transmitter to the receiver;
wherein:
the transmitter is configured to transmit the transmit signal over the transmission line to the receiver,
the receiver is configured to de-modulate the control signal and extract the clock signal from the transmitter, and
the clock source of the transmitter is configured to operate as a clock source for the receiver based on the clock signal extracted from the control signal by the receiver.
