1. A non-transitory computer-readable medium containing instructions embodied thereon which, when executed by at least one processor, causes the at least one processor to:
cause to be displayed, on a multiplayer game display, a group metamorphic game element, wherein the group metamorphic game element includes a plurality of communal game elements, the group metamorphic game element configured to interact with each of a plurality of electronic gaming machines;
cause to be displayed, on a first display of a first electronic gaming machine of the plurality of electronic gaming machines, a first individual metamorphic game element;
activate, during a first game play on the first electronic gaming machine and based on a first output of a random number generator (RNG), a multiplayer feature of a multiplayer game;
in response to said activation, cause the first individual metamorphic game element to transition from the first display to the group metamorphic game element on the multiplayer game display;
cause display of the first individual metamorphic game element interacting with the group metamorphic game element on the multiplayer game display; and
cause, in response to the displayed interaction, a first portion of the plurality of communal game elements to transition from the multiplayer game display to the first display of the first electronic gaming machine.
